"I wear my AlignMed Capris for every Pilates Mat Class I take, as well as for hiking and biking! They are incredibly comfortable, the fabric is delicious and washes beautifully, and I love that my Hamstrings and Glutes are constantly being reminded to do their job!"
-Michele Dorsey, Owner and Instructor at The Pilates Place

Pam Woodson has enjoyed a very busy summer with her family. Although she does not have a regular schedule with clients at the studio any longer, she has helped us out with coverage during other teachers' absences, which the students have thoroughly enjoyed!

For Hilary Smith it has been a rewarding summer on the east end of Long Island. This adventure has her teaching Pilates at a studio in the old whaling village of Sag Harbor, the more ‘down to earth’ hamlet of the Hampton’s (per the locals). Though it was still a new cultural experience, it wasn’t so different in the ways expected, and actually has a similar clientele to JH. Hilary learned a lot from the other instructors’ teaching styles and backgrounds, including some fun variations and exploring new tower class progressions.

Outside the studio, Hilary has enjoyed healing salt water swims with new friends and became a regular crew member on Gracious for one of the weekly sailing regattas. There is a wonderful local theater with plenty of great talent from ‘the City’ and as a volunteer saw all four mainstage productions and the comedian Paul Reiser. Not a surprise, her plans are still unknown past Labor Day at this time, though she is hoping to stay in the area a bit longer. Barring an incredible opportunity, she does plan for another JH ski season!

Tina Roberts is almost completely healed from her ski injury and subsequent surgery and has recently resumed hiking! A testimony to the healing powers of Pilates! Her big news is that she has accepted a full-time job as a Medical Aide at Teton Dermatology! Never fear, however, she will continue to brighten early mornings at The Pilates Place with "Ski Fitness Circuit" on Mondays & Wednesdays and Mat Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the Fall.

Marisol Sullivan is still chipping away at PT pre-req’s at the University of UT in SLC, and splitting the summer between the Cordillera Blanca, Peru, and the Tetons, WY. She and her husband Josh teach high altitude mountaineering courses in Peru every May and June, and then head north to the Tetons to guide for Exum Mountain Guides. The semi-migratory life is busy but good. “I am grateful for the many amazing communities that I am graced to be a part of!" If you are thinking of climbing the Grand next summer, we here at the studio can put you in touch with Marisol.
